We have been looking at the market for mass participation sports events and the fundraising performance of the biggest sports events in it for over 5 years. In that time we have worked with a cohort of some of the UK’s most ambitious and fundraising charities and our data partner “justcharity.org” to develop what we believe is the UK’s most accurate and independent view of the mass participation sports events market and the trends that will shape sports events and third-party events fundraising in the year ahead.
Bringing together data from each charity and insight from across 1.6 million fundraising pages has not been without challenges, but when combined with the insight we’ve developed over the last 5 years, it gives us a unique perspective on what is an ever-changing and competitive mass participation market. This makes it easier for us to support fundraisers to plan ahead and improve performance.
