How do design and launch a digital fundraising proposition within 6 weeks?

The Opportunity

The work that The Trussell Trust do was even more important in Winter 2020, with more and more families needing to use foodbanks. They were looking for a new digital festive fundraising proposition, and with the usual Christmas parties and celebrations unable to take place in 2020, we saw an opportunity to create a product that legitimises virtual Christmas parties.

The highlights

Through ideation and definition workshops and using existing audience insight, we developed ‘Not your Christmas Party’. The proposition invited would-be hosts to sign up for free, receive a free party planning and fundraising pack and invite friends to join their party and make a donation. Working with Funraisin, we created a microsite with registration flow, fundraising pages, downloadable assets and leaderboards. Our designers at Ave developed the engaging creative concept and assets to give ‘Not your Christmas Party’ stand out in this busy time. We launched the product in just 6 weeks, allowing the Trussell Trust to capitalise on the virtual Christmas party market.
