In 2017, DofE piloted the DofE Adventure: a 50km hike and overnight camping event experience in the Peak District. Building on the success of this pilot, the charity asked us to bring our experience of event delivery and fundraising strategy to their flagship event. They tasked us with embedding the cause and fundraising messaging into the event and uplifting the experience for thousands of participants, with a challenging and interesting route and premium campsite.

With improved route management using barcode tracking, and festival-style additions including chill-out tipis, overnight survival kits and a premium bar offering, the DofE Adventure is now one of the UK’s most popular charity hiking expeditions. Since 2018 we have delivered two Adventure events; one in the Cotswolds and one in the South Downs, bringing increased fundraising and an enhanced DofE experience to almost 4,000 participants. In 2020, following the COVID-19 pandemic we worked with DofE to develop the successful Virtual Adventure Challenge.
